New breaking changes were just introduced in Python.

The default behavior of how int to string and string to int conversions work has been changed, with a limit being set on the number of allowed digits, with the default limit now being 4300. The old behavior can be configured using a new sys call, but why was this change introduced in the first place? In this video, we go over the change, the underlying algorithmic and security reasons it was added, and present different viewpoints of community members both in favor of and against the changes.

str/int: Controversial breaking change added to Python

Python has lot of useful format strings.

f-strings in Python are not just a way to easily substitute variables inside strings, they come with a wide array of conversion, formatting, and debugging options which we give examples of in this video.

Note: I'm trying a more informal style in this video so make sure to let me know if you like it better this way, as opposed to my usual cut-after-every-sentence editing.

Don't fall for it!

The Zen of Python must not have been invented yet because this feature is confusing, not obvious, implicit, and much more. Private name mangling in Python converts variable usages like __var into _ClassName__var at compile time and there's no warning it's happening until you run into the trap.

Every Python dev falls for this (name mangling)

Get rid of recursion with this trick!

Recursion is great, an extremely useful tool to have a mastery of. However, recursion is limited by the depth of the allowed call-stack before an error is caused. Sometimes, depth is not a problem. But other times, it is better to convert your recursive algorithm into an iterative one by manually managing your own stack, which is what we'll see in this Python video.
