In this video, I cover ray marching and some of the cool stuff you can do with it in shaders. We cover basic scene construction, unions/intersections/subtractions, doing smooth minimums, normal generation and soft shadows, and anything else that seems kinda neat about the technique.

Graphics programming is so cool!
I managed to make a water shader, load 3d models, create a beautiful transition shader in just 7 days using OpenGL and the Rust programming language.

I used this OpenGL wrapper called glium:

I tried learning OpenGL in 7 days - using Rust

Graphics programming is freaking hard! Voxel engine, water/wind shaders, landscape height map generation, scene transitions, are just a few of the things I've made with it so far. If you want to build a car, it might help to reinvent the wheel sometimes to fully understand it on a deeper level.

Welcome to the exciting new Ray Tracing Series! Ray tracing is very common technique for generating photo-realistic digital imagery, which is exactly what we'll be doing in this series.
